Washington Post reports CIA director Gina Haspel has told Trump U.S. intelligence has concluded MbS ordered the killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi. Bolton told Trump the evidence was inconclusive.
I expect that Trump will side with Bolton. Saving MbS is essential to confronting Iran. If MbS is repudiated by the United States, Iran will benefit throughout the region .
I think Haspel needs to be careful. She was the bearer of bad news and the president doesn’t like such messengers. He tends to fire them.
